It is with great pleasure that I would like to share my story because thanks to Fit For Life my life has been absolutely transformed. Before I even began training I suffered from chronic knee problems, which impeded my participation in physical activities. Add to this, bad nutritional habits practiced since adolescence. The equation equals an obese individual at age 25, trapped and totally uncomfortable with my physical state and surplus of weight, forced to wear unfavorable baggy clothing, which all together made me feel 10 years older.

One day, a good friend of mine spoke to me of Fit For Life. With her good intentions she figured it would be advantageous for me since the center is open 24h and they would supply me with trainers that would give me a little push that would get the motivation I was lacking going. I reluctantly went without any conviction that my weight problem would be remedied. My first encounter with Philippe however changed all that. He inspired me with confidence and energy necessary to battle my nagging weight problem. He also recommended and made me discover spinning, an absolute great sport and weight reducing activity. Thanks to some simple and great eating guidelines, he also taught me how to properly eat without starving myself, so proper eating habits are now an integrated part of my life. Slowly but surely, my knee problems began to disappear thanks to exercises specifically recommended to address my knee problem. After a mere eight months I am now an astonishing 115 pounds lighter and have totally toned my body. My friends and family are in total disbelief! Never had this much energy, never slept better, and I never ever felt this good about myself. I am proud of myself and I am not shy to share my story with any one, because if I can do it, anyone can! My infinite thanks to the team at Fit For Life for their support and advice that improve my life every day.

It is now 4 years I am a loyal Fit For Life member. With the goal in mind of taking care have and improving my health. Upon seeing their impressive section of cardio equipment, I knew this was the place for me, and since that moment, Fit For Life has become an absolute integral part of my life, no regrets here. As a sales representative, I move very little, and my schedule and eating habits favor gaining weight. Training allows me to control my weight and clear the days’ stress. What I appreciate the most however at Fit For Life is, the electric warm ambiance resonating within the center. Members and staff come from all walks of life creating a truly unique vibe. |

Seeing even very young members motivates me and gives me energy to continue pushing forward. I try to train three to four times a week but every time I train, I am astonished by the customer service. I always feel at home, and when I need help, I don’t feel ridiculous, or a bother, they’re the ones that appreciate my questions, wow! In conjunction with my training, I monitor my nutrition to control my cholesterol and maintain my good health. I plan to be in great shape for my retirement to fully take advantage of life. I now possess great cardiovascular endurance and love training. Thanks a million to all the team!

I have a little six year old girl and 18 month old boy that demand a great deal of time and attention. After my second pregnancy, as most women in my situation, I felt uncomfortable in my skin, but even more than this I suffered from chronic fatigue due to the lack of time for myself. I knew physical activity was the answer to my problems, but how could I find the time to train with two young children and part time studies? When I discovered that there was a gym not very far away open 24 on 24, I jumped on the occasion. I now had no more excuses not to train.

It is exactly one year now that I am a member at Fit For Life. It is really ideal for me thanks to the flexibility of the hours and when my husband cannot take care of the children, I just effortlessly drop them off at the daycare, and on top of that, it’s free! I am very pleased and satisfied of the continuous efforts taken by Fit For Life for mothers, so they can train and enjoy life. Taking into account all the added services I receive, I still pay much less than any competitor had offered.

I love my job, but like all jobs, it has its negative consequences. As a bus driver, unfortunately my mobility and physical activity is very limited during my work hours. When I began to notice that the more time passed the more weight I gained, I had already attained 310 pounds. I quickly began to notice its effects while playing another one of my passions, hockey. Then I decided that a back to shape program was inevitable! It was for quite some time I noticed the Fit For Life building on St-Laurent since it is close to the bus garage parking. So, I decided to become a member having heard of their great reputation and convenient location.

I can also train in between my morning and afternoon shift. Today, it has become a culture for the bus drivers; we now number about fifty that train during our breaks. And, honestly since my inscription, I have really become addicted to training. I now train about 5 times a week and the results are mind blowing: I’ve shed 80 pounds and feel so energetic. What I really appreciate the most at Fit For Life is the incredible selection of cardio and resistance machines. I’ve visited almost every gym in the city and no one even comes close to the variety and sheer number of stations available. I also appreciate the fact that I don’t need to reserve my machines, there are always machines available, and I can stay as long as I wish. Fit For Life is now family to me, I know everyone, everyone is great, and I even met my training partner Guillaume here.

Before becoming a member at Fit For Life, I used to train at an all women center. The machines were very few, dirty and of poor quality, but I believed I was better off because I wasn’t sure if I would be comfortable in mixed center. Fit For Life’s undisputed reputation changed my ideas. Even if the center is male female, training is always conducted in a respectful environment and never have I felt uncomfortable or disrespected. To the contrary the atmosphere is warm, positive, engaging and laid back. Fit For Life is a training haven where it is pleasant to train regardless of one’s age or physical condition. There is always a sufficient number of stations to answer the demands of all designated programs. |

Before all however what I really appreciate, is that group courses are given with unprecedented levels of discipline and professionalism. Bernie, the coordinator of the aerobics program, is an absolutely extraordinary individual, consumed with passion for her work. The diversified courses are accessible to all are my pride and joy. To sum it all up also, after all the centers I have been a member at I can honestly say that this center is the cleanest I have been a part of. Cleaners are present 24 on 24 assuring everything is in tip top, spic & span condition. You might think that all the above benefits would cost a fortune, but this center offers more for less than any other center on the market. Actually I’m pretty certain my moving is over, this is my home now!

| The day I reached fifty made me realize that it was time to take charge of my health if I wanted to take advantage of the remaining half of my life so to speak. At fifty, I decided to stop smoking and begin training. After visiting at least ten centers Fit For Life was clearly my choice and favorite. Only steps away from my work and possessing the most welcoming environment I have ever felt from the first visit. From the start, I felt a considerable difference in my life; I lost thirty pounds without dieting, my cardio has never been better, and I’m less stressed than I used to be. |

What I personally enjoy the most at Fit For Life is how the team effortlessly adapts to my needs. My goal was never to win a fitness or bodybuilding contest and Greg, my trainer, perfectly understood and responded to my tailored needs. They inspired me with the motivation I was lacking and have always kept a watchful eye on me even after five years. It is not an uncommon sight to see a trainer providing tips on how to properly do an exercise even if no one specifically asked for it. These guys love what they do, and it shows! Congratulations to the team, and I wish them only continued success. |
